        Short version: Use the tool freely for any lawful purpose. It is provided as-is with no warranty. Your diagram content belongs to you.
    

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Mermaid Diagram Generator n Editor at mermaid.ranjankumar.in ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service.

2. Description of Service

The Service is a free, browser-based tool for creating, editing, and exporting diagrams using Mermaid syntax. It is provided by Ranjan Kumar as a personal project.

3. Use of the Service

You may use the Service for any lawful personal, educational, or commercial purpose. You agree not to:

Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the Service
Use the Service to generate content that is illegal, defamatory, or harmful
Attempt to overload, disrupt, or interfere with the Service's availability
Represent the Service as your own product without attribution

4. Your Content

Any diagrams, code, or files you create with the Service remain entirely yours. We do not claim any ownership or rights over your content. Because all data is stored locally in your browser, we do not have access to your content at all.

5. Intellectual Property

The Service's source code, design, and associated assets are the property of Ranjan Kumar. The underlying Mermaid library is open-source software distributed under the MIT License; its copyright belongs to its respective authors. You may view, fork, and contribute to the project via its public repository.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. Use at your own risk. Always keep backups of important diagrams.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ranjan Kumar shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — the Service, including any loss of data or diagrams.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service loads the Mermaid library from jsDelivr CDN and uses Google Analytics for anonymised usage statistics. Your use of these third-party components is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these third parties.

9. Availability and Changes

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms of Service; the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any revised Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.
